Teacher. Disturbing enough that one teacher would hit on us, more disturbing is that teacher is the number one profession to hit on our profiles. Joesph Kinney was a teacher, emphasis on was as obviously the red text took care of that.

    Notes from the Contributor, BeefTheTroll
The case of Joseph Kinney was a special one for me.

Mr. Kinney first found me during a Milwaukee-area Group Media Bust in the Spring of '05. From the first few moments he spoke to me, I knew I had a VERY polished groomer on my hands...He was very cagey with his personal details, but he had crystal-clear intent. The fact that he was a high school teacher, responsible for the education and welfare of teens no older than the one he was trying to solicit, made my skin crawl. I've dealt with teachers on a number of memorable occasions before, and I naturally hold them to a higher standard of conduct given their position of trust and authority over kids.

But, despite my desire to reel him in for a meet with the cameras, Mr. Kinney continued to stall me. He just kept telling me how much he had to lose, and that he was scared of being labeled a "pervert". But...He also continued to reiterate just how very much he wanted to develop our conversations about sex into a reality scenario. He talked dirty, expressed his intent, and exposed himself to me on his webcam.

Needless to say, I wanted very much to expose him to a much larger audience, as did John Mercure and our friends from TMJ4...He just wasn't giving me much of anything to work with. And when he refused to commit to meeting on MY schedule, I tabled him for the GMB...But resolved to keep an eye on him.

Not long after the GMB wrapped up, I decided to log back in to my bust alias to see if he'd felt just as committed to me as I did to him. Imagine my happy surprise when I was confronted with not just a series of offline messages begging for my return...But an e-mail in the bust's account. An e-mail that we were able to pull a name and IP address from the headers of.

A few short hours worth of research from some dedicated volunteers later, and we had our man. Subsequent conversations with him only further proved his intent.

I want to say a big thanks to everyone involved with bringing Mr. Kinney to justice. To the tireless and resourceful research help who all but instantly pinned him to the wall like a butterfly in a display drawer with nothing more than a name and IP, I am in your awe. To Detective Maggie Hermann of the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department for not just taking the case, but seeing it through to its satisfying conclusion. To the Honorable Judge Ralph Ramirez of Waukesha County. To District Attorney Sue Opper. To the staff, admin, and volunteers of PeeJ, for providing me with endless inspiration and encouragement. And, of course, to all of you for reading.

Thanks to all of you, the man who had a lot to lose...has.

This is our 64th conviction since June of 2004 and our 24th conviction for the year 2006 thus far. This is yet another conviction stemming from our work with John Mercure and TMJ4 in Milwaukee Wisconsin due to the dedication to prosecution of Paul Bucher, Waukesha County's leading district attorney. We're very glad that he stepped up to say "No" to sexual predators in his county.
