If we had a dollar everytime we've heard from someone asking about Mark Baggette, well, we'd have enough to go out to a nice dinner. Baggette, a former amateur football player turned male stripper was well known from the West Coast to the East Coast. We've heard from quite a few women wanting to know the exact status and whereabouts of Mr. Baggette.
Well, we're glad to say that his exact status will be even more known in October, when he is sentenced. Baggette recently pled guilty to solicitation of a minor and is currently awaiting sentencing. Long-time readers of the website will remember Baggette from Dateline 2: Virginia, he was the large man who walked into the house, was confronted by Hansen and then turned tail and rabbited down the street. He was able to run that day, but the airtight evidence accumulated against him made it impossible to stay running forever.
This is yet another conviction stemming from that particular Dateline investigation. We'd personally like to thank every single person who read our Call2Action and raised noise in Virginia regarding what was previously going to be a lack of prosecution. Due to you readers, the people in charge of those decisions listened and decided to get themselves what the nation called an easy slam dunk. Thanks very much to our loyal readership and volunteer base. We told you that these were easily convictable people and you made others listen to that message.
Notes from the Contributor, Frag
Well almost a year after darkening the door of our Virginia bust house twice in a 24 hour period, Mark decides it's in his best interest to plead guilty to the charges brought against him.
If you read the log you'll see that Mark went out drinking the first night he was supposed to come over and showed up at the bust house completely wasted, and well after we'd shut down the operation for the evening. The gentleman that answered the door that night just happened to be a retired F.B.I. Special Agent in Charge. He played it off and sent Mark on his way.
The next day Red Baroness talked to Mark and made up a story about the gentleman that answered the door and he bought it hook, line and sinker. Later that evening he showed up right on time with alcohol and condoms.
When Chris Hansen confronted him he dropped his beer and ran out the door. Of course he didn't run far enough to escape the long arm of the law and was eventually arrested by the Fairfax County Police Department and prosecuted by the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney.
I'd like to thank Detective Craig R. Paul of the Fairfax County Police Department and Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Marc J. Birnbaum, Esq. for their efforts in bringing this would-be child molester to justice.
Mark is scheduled to be sentenced sometime in October and on top of having to register as a sex offender he's also facing up to ten years in state prison.

This is our 69th conviction since June of 2004 and our 29th conviction for the year 2006 thus far. This is yet another conviction for co-administrator Frag, whose work as a contributor and admin has set a standard in regards to excellence. This is another conviction in Virginia, which is one of our conviction populous states. We're quite pleased with the outcome and look forward to his sentencing.
