    John Michael Compton was arrested after showing up at a Garden Grove, CA Jack in the Box to meet the decoy. He was charged with attempted lewd act upon a child, three counts of attempted distribtion of lewd materials to a minor, sexual exploitation of a child, and possession of child pornography. While it looked like it was going to go to trial, he ended up pleading guilty to the six felony charges. He received three years and four months in prison, and he was ordered to register as a sex offender.
