Since the inception of this website, all sorts of accusations have been levied against the individuals associated with it. We've been called perverts, we've been accused of entrapment, we've been told we were breaking the law, that we were being sued, and a million other moronic things. There has been much debate, in certain chat circles, as to what motivates those of us who maintain and update this website to go after these wanna-be pedophiles with such rabid, vicious determination.
So here, finally, is the real reason we created this website:
Maybe that's not clear enough, let's try it this way...
And too many people are using the internet as a hunting ground for the bodies of children. These individuals are those that we have profiled here at what we call The PeeJ, they go onto chats and engage in conversations designed to meet these teens and sometimes pre-teens. Their conversations are here, with a twist. Read some and you'll get it.
So our mission statement here is quite simple really-
"To root out and bring to light those who would use the internet as a way to sexually abuse children, to brighten the darkened corner of the internet from which they wish to prey upon small children."
Everything else- the humor in the files, the commentary, the obvious panache- is just gravy, baby.
The philosophy behind this website is almost as simple as the mission statement, but not quite. See, there are a lot of individuals out there that share our goals, a lot of organizations that do as well. However, unlike some organizations that thinks fighting against wannabe pedophiles in "sexual" chat rooms is a good idea, we take a different tact.
We're not saying the people in those sexual rooms who would express desire to have sex with an underage female is a good person. Not at all. However, how many fourteen, thirteen, twelve year olds that you know who use the 'net would be in a position to enter a room like that? Parents for the most part, are not stupid. Typically a 10-15 year old doesn't have her computer in an area where they can get away with being in one of those rooms, and more to the point, generally do not have a motivation to enter a "sexual" chat room anyways. Those who would prey on young females know this. They know where to go to find underage females that they can gain easy access to. It doesn't take ability to go "undercover" in a porn/sex room. And it doesn't have the positive effect of taking away the most ready well for wannabe pedophiles to go after underage people.
No, it is Regional Chat Rooms at the core of Perverted-Justice.com's philosophy. Think about it. A guy lives in Chicago. He goes to Yahoo. He goes into a Chicago room. There are thousands of individuals that pass through that room daily, and many of those thousands are underage. It is akin to this person being let into the presence of a field of underage individuals and there he sits, behind the "safety" of his computer screen. A child that tells their parent that they're chatting with people who live in the same city has a much easier time of being allowed to stay in that chatroom. It's seen as a social outlet, something natural. Some people may even be so obtuse to believe that it's safer because it is local. After all, how many people really associate wanton evil with the people next door?
This is where we come in. We wish to take away a little bit of that "safe anonymity" wannabe pedophiles think they enjoy. We don't target those who want to get their dirty fantasies out by talking in a sex room, we want to get those who want to hook up with an underage person in a local room where they will meet people who are often-times within half an hour of where they live. Regional chat rooms are the most ready and opportune place for a person with ill intent to roost, and we aim at poisoning those rooms for those people. We expose people who take the initiative in messaging people they believe to be underage for the purposes of meeting them. We shine the harsh light of public accountability upon their intent and actions. It's a battle fought on the local level, against very possible real threats.
We let the interested come to us, individuals close to their potential victims. Then after they're done pathetically trying to get an underage person, we hit them with our own brand of Justice. We tell them that tomorrow, everyone in that local room will know of what that person tried to do. See, Regional Rooms typically are very cliquey places, where people become "regulars" and get to know each other very well. Exposing individuals in those rooms brings a secondary effect of ostracization from that online community. And ostracization from there means that they won't have that local, regional avenue in which to prey upon your children.
Our philosophy is to hit the most opportune areas for these sorts of perverts, then to flip the table on them, shine a light on them, and watch them scurry deeper into the recesses of the 'net, minimizing their chances of running into an actual minor online. That's our philosophy behind what we do, hopefully it's clear enough for all to understand it.
