NORTHHAMPTON COUNTY — A Pleasant Hill man faces several charges after a child sexual assault report received last month by the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office. Jeremy Broady, 25, of Mountain Way, Pleasant Hill, was arrested Tuesday and was charged with two counts of second degree kidnapping, two counts of statutory rape and two counts indecent liberties with child.

Capt. D.M. Harmon, of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, said the charges stem from a child sexual assault report received by the Sheriff’s Office last month.

“It was reported on two occasions early in the morning, Broady picked up the victim near her residence and took her to his home and engaged in sexual activity with her,” he said.

He added it was reported the victim met Broady through months ago.

Broady is being held in the Northampton County Detention Center on a $150,000 secured bond and is expected in court Thursday, April 15.
